BABIES TO TWO
Babies to Two was created to serve and encourage caregivers and their babies during this critical time.
Babies to Two empowers and equips caregivers to take ownership of their child’s growth and development through singing, playing, reading and learning together. Babies to Two provides a wide range of programs that varies month to month.

PRESCHOOL
For children who are three and four years old, Preschool prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond by fostering growth in all areas of development — academic, social, emotional and physical.
Spots are limited, and first priority is given to children who have completed our Babies to Two program or are siblings of students in our other programs. Our classes are a part of the 3K/PreK for All initiative in NYC, and we are operating two 3K classes and three PreK classes. All classes follow the NYC DOE calendar and comply with all DOE guidelines.

With a holistic view of the factors that influence children’s development of hard and soft skills, our program has two key elements: 1) Advocacy and 2) In-Person After School. Our advocacy model pairs each student with an advocate for the entire academic year. The advocate’s responsibility is to be the connection between the child, their school/teacher, their parent/guardian, and A House on Beekman.
Through this connection the advocate will ensure that their academic needs are met and any social-emotional needs are addressed by all parties. Our in-person after school programming has 3 key focuses: homework help, academic enrichment/passion projects, and social-emotional health.

AFTER SCHOOL
Our after school program supports children from K to 5th Grade to ensure they continue to grow in their academic knowledge and social-emotional skills.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
At A House on Beekman, we know it takes a village to raise a child. AHOB's Community Engagement Program exists to provide education, support, and resources to family members who want the best for their children.
Our community engagement program leverages partnerships with other local organizations to provide holistic support to our students and families. Under this umbrella we serve our middle and high schoolers, offering opportunities for faith formation, academic enrichment, and extracurricular activities. Saturday programming is available for all ages and includes parent workshops, specialized classes, and fun events for the whole family!
1) Daily Math and Reading Classes that are designed to support their individual needs and emphasize their strengths. Not only do we want to prevent summer learning loss and reinforce all of the hard work from the past year, we also want our kids to learn and grow new skills that they can take into the fall.
2) Engaging and exciting Passion Projects that allow them to explore a wide range of careers and hobbies. In the past we have had everything from golf to hairstyling to dancing to oceanography!
3) Weekly Field Trips to activities, events, and shows all over New York City! Coney Island is the yearly fan-favorite but the other weeks we love to bowl, skate, go to a puppet show, the Natural History or the Spy Museum.
4) Free-Time and Lunch! Kids learn a lot through play so we make sure to build-in at least an hour of unstructured, child-led play (preferably at our newly renovated local park!) every day. Lastly, no kid learns well on an empty stomach. We provide
a hot meal at lunch and at least three snacks each day!
SUMMER CAMP
Summer at AHOB is our favorite time of year! Campers of all ages, from babies to high schoolers, participate in activities such as:
